ABOUT US
The Origin of Excellence in Excel Training

A NECESSITY
Students Excel was born out of a clear necessity identified by David Ringstrom, a CPA and authoritative figure in Excel and QuickBooks education.
His initiative in 2017, responding to the direct needs of businesses collaborating with Kennesaw University, was clear-cut: to prepare graduates with the Excel skills that the marketplace was demanding.
built through Collaboration
Curriculum Enhancement
David pooled more than 30 years of experience in writing, consulting, and teaching with a team of seasoned business faculty to develop eLearning Excel assignments that integrate seamlessly into business curricula.
When needed, new assignments can be created to align with specific course objectives, pacing, and instructional preferences—reinforcing in-class concepts while building practical Excel skills and supporting students as they work toward Microsoft Excel Certification alongside their degree programs.

Cross-Platform Coverage
At Students Excel, we understand that accessibility is key to effective learning. That’s why each of our assignments is filmed twice—once using Excel for Windows and once with Excel for macOS.
This dual approach ensures that regardless of the operating system our students are using, they have a tailored, high-quality resource at their fingertips, guiding them through every click and feature specific to their platform.

Modern Excel Instruction
In today’s ever-evolving tech landscape, staying updated is not just an option but a necessity.
Our exercises are not just filmed—they’re crafted with Excel for Microsoft 365 users in mind, harnessing the full power and latest features of the most current Excel version. This guarantees that our students are learning with the tools that today’s businesses are actively using, keeping them ahead in the competitive job market.

Academic Integrity Built-In
Anti-cheating measures are built into each assignment to help ensure that students complete their own work.
Each student is assigned a unique four-digit Spreadsheet ID that is used throughout the assignment. Additional safeguards are applied to verify individual workbook activity and prevent the sharing of files between classmates.
THE RESULT
Impact and Recognition
Graduates who are not just knowledgeable but are Excel-savvy, equipped with the critical skills to excel in any business setting. David’s dedication to Excel education has led to accolades and recognition, such as his insightful presentation to the American Accounting Association in 2020 on ‘Lessons Learned Teaching Excel to Students’.
